Truly Inspirational!
This Summer I Saw Wizards Battle Till The End. I Saw A Brooklyn Boy Become An American Super Hero and I Saw Apes Begin To Take Over the Planet..Entertaining Yes! Life Changing No. Motivating No. Lasting No. Inspirational No. If You Guys Truly want to see a Film That when you walk away, you wont look ,feel or judge your life the same way again. This is That Film! If Oprah was still on air Jens would be across from her being interviewed, yes its that type of emotional imp-actual soul stirring film. You don't have to like MMA to get this Film. You don't have to know Jen to get this Film, but in the end you will want to know him. It Really Is This Summers Hidden Treasure!!
If You're a "Tough Guy", Try to watch this.....
without shedding a tear. You will be fighting back the tears when you watch this.
I can't remember when the last time a movie got me choked up. "Little Evil" was one of my favorite fighters back in the day, #1 because he was a wrestler and #2 he was an F.N. savage in the ring. Pulver was one of the pioneers of ground and pound.
Pulver's story is nothing new: growing up dirt poor; abusive, alcoholic father; finds talent in a sport; then realizes that talent is all he'll ever be able to do; and then his career is over. It's Pulver's delivery that makes it stand out. Although his words are simple, they are geniune and honest and heavy.
I recommend this not only to MMA fans, but to everyone.
A 5 Star Documentray.
Not to say that this the end all be all, but it is.
Jens could be an insurance agent, or a banker, or any working man.
This movie destroyed me.
I am glad that it slapped me around, and I am blessed that I watched it.
I recommend with 5 stars.
No Spoilers.
-Best Wishes!
